Murray Capital is a Christchurch based principal investment firm and is
part of Murray & Company.
Murray Capital is chaired by experienced investor and financier Humphry Rolleston with additional oversight provided by independent board member Alan Isaac. The executive team comprises Justin Murray and Richard Rookes.
Murray Capital has recently raised the “Rakaia Fund”, a private equity fund which will be managed by Murray Capital. The Rakaia Fund will invest in and lend to medium-sized New Zealand companies.
The Offer Closing Date for the Rakaia Fund was 18th December 2009.
The Rakaia Fund was underwritten by Asset Management Ltd, an entity associated with Humphry Rolleston.
The Rakaia Fund will focus on companies that are capital constrained, have strong growth prospects, require restructuring and/or could act as a vehicle for industry consolidation.
